95% of EuroTrip was shot in Prague, and all the streets were to be covered with green screens in order to add Big Ben and other monuments from across Europe.

The kegs at the graduation party were filled with real beer. According to the directors, Jacob Pitts was quite drunk during the scene after the hot tub incident in which Cooper jumps onto Scotty's back.
- #003
The original, bittersweet ending had Scott declaring his love to Mieke in Vatican City, but Mieke ultimately turned him down (though they did part on good terms afterwards). In the released film this scene is abruptly cut short by Scotty and Mieke having sex in a confessional, followed by the extended ending (the Green Fairy's negative comment about happy endings may be a nod to this change).

While filming the nude beach scene, Jacob Pitts did not put his shorts back on because he enjoyed how much it bothered everyone.

The male attendants at the Vandersexxx club are named "Hans" and "Gruber," a reference to the main villain of Die Hard (1988).

Vinnie Jones played for Wimbledon in the Premier League. He was not a Manchester United fan, and still isn't.
- #007
During the bikini scene, Michelle Trachtenberg flipped her hair so hard for the first time that she got dizzy and fell.
- #008
Ironically, the Unrated DVD cover art shows Michelle Trachtenberg taking off her bikini. In the film itself, she is the only main character who does not go nude, having refused when asked. There is, however, a brief shot during the credits in which she appears topless from behind, though her breasts were covered during filming. It was part of a longer deleted scene in which she unsuccessfully tries to hitchhike by flashing truck drivers.

Matt Damon appears in the film because the screenwriters were his college friends and asked him to take a role while he was in Prague shooting The Brothers Grimm (2005).
- #010
The Montecito Picture Company first bought the film under the title "Ugly Americans," but later changed it so that fans of Road Trip (2000) (also Montecito) would want to see the film.

The day the nude beach scene was shot was very cold, and the actors had to huddle under blankets between takes.
- #012
The writers came up with the hot tub scene while doing a rewrite of Out Cold (2001), but decided to use it later in their own film.
- #013
Mieke is a name that is typically Dutch.

Parents in Ontario complained that the "14A" rating was too lenient for this film (due to its pervasive sexual content and nudity), as theaters were carrying out strict ID checks when tickets were requested.

The newspaper Jenny reads at the start of the train scene says: "Oh shit! Hooligan!"
- #016
During the credits, the lead singer of the band playing "Scotty Doesn't Know" screams at the end of the deleted scenes/bloopers. The scream comes from the end of Howard Dean's famous 2004 campaign speech.
- #017
It is Jessica Boehrs's only nude scene in her career.

- #023
One of the cities Scott and his friends stop in while in Europe to find Mieke is Berlin. Coincidentally, Matt Damon, who plays Donny, was filming The Bourne Supremacy (2004) there. One scene in that film had Damon's lead character, Jason Bourne, interrogating Nicky Parsons (Julia Stiles) at a train station to get information about his past.
