While the twins brainstorm ways to kill their father, Racine suggests throwing him off a building. Anaia immediately points out that he could always pull one of them down with him in the process. In the end, as he burns to death, he does exactly that to Racine.

When director and writer Aleshea Harris began writing the screenplay for this film, she was working two jobs, receiving food stamps and renting an apartment in North Hollywood.

Racine's name means "root" in French. Throughout the film, Racine represents how she embraces her roots as her father's daughter by displaying violent sadism toward his family members and colleagues. Anaia's name means "God has favored me." Although her relationship with her mother is complicated, Anaia manages to survive the quest for revenge and goes on to live a more peaceful and fulfilling life with her daughter.
