The scenes in which the girls hold a carnival to raise money for their clubhouse were cut from the film. This scene (and photos from the film) were included in the novelization of the film. The scene included Samantha telling fortunes and telling Morton, a nerdy boy with glasses, that he would one day marry Chrissy. Because of this, later in the film, during the baseball game, the boy tries to talk to an uninterested Chrissy ("Hello, dear"); and we see Samantha whispering something to Teeny, making the two girls giggle (Sam was clearly telling Teeny what happened at the carnival). But as we see in the scenes where the girls are adults, Chrissy does indeed marry Morton.

Demi Moore and Suzanne Todd would later produce the Austin Powers film series starring Myers.
