Aubrey Miller says that the kind of unlikeable romance found in theater is strictly the province of Nicholas Sparks books. Ironically, Britt Robertson, the actress who plays Aubrey, would go on to play Sophia Danko in The Longest Ride, an adaptation of a Nicholas Sparks novel.

At the start of the film (during the song Silly Boy), Aubrey appears four times, but you can barely notice her. You can recognize her by her clothes and her bag.
