Anil Kapoor and Akshay Kumar clashed over whose name should appear first in the credits. Kapoor argued that he deserved top billing because he was senior to Kumar, while Kumar argued that he deserved it because he was the film's lead. Director Anees Bazmee stepped in and said Feroze Khan's name would appear first in the credits, since Feroze Khan was senior to everyone in the cast.

At the time his health was not good and he did not want the film to be held up because of him. In the end he agreed to do it. It was only when Anees Bazmee's team flew to Dubai for the shoot that Feroze Khan backed out. Anees Bazmee later said he called his team back, saying he would not shoot without him. Feroze Khan, however, asked him not to do that and reached Dubai for the shoot.
