   In June 2018, after four years of doctor visits, tests and misdiagnoses, she was diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour. On 26 July 2018, her 50th birthday, she underwent surgery at King's College Hospital in London to remove the tumour. Six months later she was told everything had gone well, and she was asked to become an ambassador for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
