Later in the series, Filip 'Chibs' Telford (Tommy Flanagan) wears a silver ball peen hammer pin on his colors, a support emblem for the Hells Angels MC. Many members began carrying ball peen hammers on their colors because the tool could be explained away as mechanical gear, which meant even convicted felons could keep one handy as a weapon in a pinch. The hammer is a common sight on Hells Angels support merchandise, and one member in Connecticut displayed one in his tattoo shop with “People Skills” burned into the handle.
