The cat jumps behind the rear wheel of Mini's father's car and is accidentally killed as the car reverses. The cat is buried in the back garden without Bunty's knowledge. Bunty finds another cat that eerily resembles the dead one. The scenario of the dead cat returning alive was inspired by Pet Sematary, released in 1991. In the final scene, Bunty can be seen keeping the cat in her room, and the film ends with eerie sounds.
