During the period he worked with Sergio Leone, Clint Eastwood witnessed the director's exaggerated behaviour on set and nicknamed him 'Yosemite Sam'. The actor Sergio Leone had admired since childhood was Henry Fonda. Leone offered Fonda a role in each of his first westerns, but the actor turned the offers down. Sergio Leone died at the age of 60 from a heart attack. His death was widely thought to have stemmed largely from his eating habits.
