Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lt. An extra on the DVD features 46 minutes of footage of fictional GCN programming with Mike Engel and Lydia Filangeri hosting the show Gotham Tonight with interviews with major characters, building up the activities in Gotham between Batman Begins (2005) and this film.

Even Batman Begins was better than The Dark Knight.
At least it said something about Batman's origin.
But Batman Begins had this nonsense too: while he was in the well, bats were flying around him.
Batman isn't a superhero. He's one of the rare superhero characters who isn't a superhero.
But even so, there's no one who can beat him.
Among all comic book characters, Superman is shown as the strongest, but in the film where the two meet, it was Batman who came out on top.
In the second film, every scene hangs on a single man: "Nolan". I really wonder, has he ever opened and read a comic book? Has he watched Batman: Animated Series? Has he watched the old Batman films, especially Tim Burton's Batman films? Most importantly, has he played the games Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City?

Christian Bale is one of the worst decisions ever made for playing Batman. As I've said before, the actor playing the Joker was well chosen, but the actor playing Batman was chosen just as badly. Batman is muscular, he has no special powers, he's a fighter, he's well-equipped. Christian Bale doesn't give off that vibe. Batman isn't weak either. It's nonsense for people to talk about worlds they don't know. Clearly Bale is only talking about Nolan's Batman here, but the real Batman isn't that.

I wouldn't directly call the Joker things like sadist or psychopath. This slogan in this film is wrong too; in the Batman universe the Joker doesn't present himself in negative ways. Nolan understood neither the Batman universe nor the Joker. Yes, the Joker was a character who committed massacres; in the game Batman: Arkham City he even tried to kill an entire city, but Batman didn't let him. But he doesn't define himself with things like that. Of course he's a criminal, but sadist, psychopath, massacre... These aren't things that suit the Joker. The tension between Batman and the Joker is something else.

In this trilogy, Batman isn't equipped enough to save Gotham City. This has nothing to do with Batman. I don't know how many times I've said it, but this film is the worst example of the Batman world in cinema. Batman isn't like this.
The Joker isn't like this.
The other side characters in the film aren't like this either.
So as not to repeat myself any further, I won't say again what Nolan's Batman has to do with the real Batman world.

It's a shame about Slumdog Millionaire (2008). That film was saying more meaningful things than The Dark Knight and was a more realistic film. It was a Bollywood film, but it was an example of how to make a good film without a high budget. The Dark Knight, along with its director Nolan, is nothing but an overrated film.

Arrow's first season was good. Especially in the island scenes the mystery was high and I loved those scenes. I was watching with feelings like something could happen at any moment, a problem could arise at any moment, someone could die at any moment, someone could get caught at any moment. The action and adventure were good as they were too. But you know, most American series and films start getting worse as they go on. Two examples of this: the first season of The Walking Dead with Frank Darabont and what came after, and the first season of Prison Break and what came after.
I don't know Spawn, and I don't know Michael Jai White either. Since Arrow came up, I wanted to share an editor's note about it.

The 2019 film Joker captures the character's inner turmoil well. Unlike The Dark Knight, it's not a pure action and adventure film detached from the Batman world. The Joker film serves to get you to look at the Joker from other perspectives. Of course, the Joker can't be understood here in any way. Not even in this film. The real Joker is not a Joker close to the Joker in this film. That has to do with the director and screenwriter presenting the Joker of the Batman world in a different form. As it is, it's a good film. There's something new about the Batman world. They handled it very well. But let me say it again, the Joker here, no matter what perspective you look from, isn't even a quarter of the real Joker.
Note. The real Joker is in the game Batman: Arkham City.

The reason for that has to do with the film appealing to pretty much every audience. Avatar was also the most-watched, record-breaking film at the box office. But that appeals to the average too. This film, on the other hand, is a way for viewers to feel smart through Nolan's illusion.

With this film, the Batman franchise broke $2 billion at the global box office.

Overall, all the Batman films together with this Batman film may have passed 2 billion dollars at the box office. Because Batman really does hold the most special place among all superheroes. He has no special power; he's smart, well-equipped, a fighter. Superman, on the other hand, has superpowers. And in the film where Superman and Batman meet, Batman beats Superman to a pulp. Friends, if you want to know Batman, don't forget this: even if all the superheroes in the world united against him, Batman wouldn't let himself be killed.

All three are popular productions. The Dark Knight may have had good marketing. But that film's most important marketing is Christopher Nolan. Pirates of the Caribbean, meanwhile, is a film that's been popular for years. Iron Man 2, on the other hand, is the period when comic book characters were gradually being adapted, when superheroes started being brought to cinema to appeal to younger age groups. So the data may be accurate.

When it was released on July 18, 2008, this movie made $67.2 million in a day, the most lucrative opening for any movie. Because of its pent-up demand, midnight showings all over the country were sold out, resulting in $18.5 million in late-night showings alone. The Twilight Saga is also an extremely popular film. You see, anything that appeals to the average gets consumed heavily, a lot of money gets spent on things like that. If you released the first Godfather film worldwide now, how many people would watch it? Or 12 Angry Men? There will be people who won't watch a masterpiece like 12 Angry Men because it's in black and white. The Twilight Saga, Avatar, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Knight — these are all films that appeal to the average. That's why they're successful.
It's like this. In 2026, people with high social intelligence, who love socializing, who are constantly out at cafés and places, who have a friend group, are in the luckiest period in world history. Whereas those who sit at home thinking in their room, researching, reading, wanting to understand and know themselves are doomed to be alone. And the number of people who'd want to know someone like that is small. The more you look down on those below you, the more the distance between you and the people below you grows. If you're at the bottom, everyone just walks right past you.
