In 1999, Clancy Brown launched a fundraising campaign for J. Madison Wright, the young actress who played his on-screen daughter on the television series Earth 2 (1994). Madison, then 15, had been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and needed an expensive heart transplant that exceeded her family's health insurance coverage. Brown offered to support the Wright family and even gave the girl a laptop for Christmas that year. Sadly, Madison died seven years later.

Thanks to his role as the Kurgan in Highlander (1986), Clancy Brown's voice appeared on Queen's song 'Gimme the Prize (Kurgan's Theme)'.
